Karma – the self is composed of the stories we identify with and attempt to live, so karma is not what the self has, but what the notion of self becomes, as we play habitual roles within these stories. Believing self is creating karma.
Self – an alias you’ve forgotten you made up
Problem – it’s not the problem that’s caught you – it’s being caught that’s the problem
Ksanti –allowing experience to rest, to be. Owning experience creates the desire to change it
Bliss – not separating from reality, loving what is
Equanimity – Openness, realising acceptance is unnecessary, denial futile.
Attachment – If it’s not equanimity, it’s attachment. Attachment is practising self-focus: hanging onto a concrete lifebelt.
Renunciation – when the difference between good and bad experiences is less important than the difference between being Awake and being deluded.
Sila – the choice between dukkha and Awakening
Virya – realising there’s only one thing worth doing.
Pranidhana – self-fulfilling prophetic determination.
Compassion & Wisdom– we are Love, obscured by misperception. Love shows what’s true, Wisdom sees through what’s false. We work from both ends.
Pilgrimage – a physical metaphor for approaching the sacred
– a notional journey where nothing moves and everything changes
